Dorset Auto Spares Terms and Conditions

In Brief
There are hundreds of thousands of car parts in the aftermarket unfortunately we cannot hold in stock every part for every vehicle despite having over 20,000 sq ft of warehouse capacity spread over our 6 Branches. “In Stock Items”- we aim to hold the most popular items in any range, which normally means an 80%+ pick rate of our most popular ranges including brakes and clutch kits. If we have the item in stock your order will be dispatched within 24 hours. “Non Stock Items” - items we do not hold in stock will normally be dispatched within 5 working days. In the rare occurrence that our supplier has no stock we will endeavour to notify you within 48 hours of your order and offer you an alternative or a full refund. “Items No Longer Available” - very rarely a supplier will discontinue a product, we attempt to remove discontinued lines from our database but there are occasions that we are not notified by our suppliers. If the item is no longer available we will either attempt to order a part from another supplier or refund you immediately.

Price Information
The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the Dorset Auto Spares website. All prices are correct at time of display online and exclude V.A.T. In the unlikely event of an administrative error resulting in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct the price. In these circumstances, you will not be bound to continue with your purchase, and will be asked to email us to confirm you wish to proceed. Dorset Auto Spares VAT number is GB 887 1334 95.

Ordering Goods
Our online store can accept orders originating from and for delivery to UK mainland addresses. If you need help please contact us either by email by using the contact page or telephone (01202 857192, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). Dorset Auto Spares will confirm receipt of your order by sending an email to you using the address you supplied when registering with our website, however this will not bring into existence a legally binding agreement between us. All orders placed on the Dorset Auto Spares website are subject to stock availability and to the validation checks described below. Also please refer to the section above regarding incorrect prices. No contract will exist between you and Dorset Auto Spares Direct for the sale of products by us to you until your credit/debit card has been charged. This will be deemed to be our acceptance of your order and to have been effectively communicated to you. Please note that the only language in which the contract can be concluded is English. Dorset Auto Spares will retain details of your order in our database and these details can be made available on request.

Payment
We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. Payment will be debited from your account before the despatch of your purchase.

Validation Checks
All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit, debit and charge cards, Dorset Auto Spares will validate the names, addresses and other information supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g. Electoral Roll data). We may need to contact you by letter, telephone or email to verify details before we are able to dispatch your order or we may be unable to accept your order.

Liability
The majority of card issuers cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards, but some may limit your liability to £50. If you believe your credit or debit card has been subject to unauthorised use you should contact your card issuer without delay.

Delivery of Goods
We can deliver to all mainland addresses within the United Kingdom. Deliveries to non-mainland UK addresses and certain remote locations e.g. Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands there may be an additional delivery charge and slightly longer delivery charges. Due to the high offshore postal costs we regret we are not accepting orders from outside the United Kingdom at present. Our courier offers an order tracking facility and directions on its use will be forwarded in your dispatch email. The estimated date of delivery will be shown on your email and within the tracking facility. Please ensure somebody is available to take delivery of the parcel if possible. If no one is at home the deliverer will leave a card to enable you to arrange re-delivery or pick-up from the couriers local depot.

Delivery Charges
If a product is available to purchase online, post and packaging is charged in addition to the prices shown. We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. The delivery charge depends on the size of the product ordered. You only pay one delivery charge irrespective of the number of products ordered. If you order 2 or more products that fall into different categories, the higher charge will apply. When you add products to your shopping cart the appropriate charge will be added automatically. All delivery charges will be shown clearly throughout the checkout process.

Delivery Times
Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra 2 working days. From the receipt of your order we will endeavour to deliver your chosen items to you within 4 working days providing the goods are in stock, unless a longer delivery time is shown on the product information page. Deliveries to non-Mainland or remote locations may take longer. Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery. Goods delivered by courier should arrive between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. All deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives the Courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for you to collect the goods from the local depot. Please Note We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified in this section, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay.

Guarantees
Where applicable, details of manufacturers guarantees or service arrangements will be provided with the product. After sales service and warranty/guarantee Dorset Auto Spares will initially deal with claims. Restrictions on Ordering and Delivery
We can only accept orders from holders of credit or debit cards registered at UK addresses. We can deliver to most addresses in the U.K. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to non-UK destinations, including the Republic of Ireland.

Complaints and Queries

Unwanted Goods
If you decide that you do not want any item, which we have delivered then, provided that it is returned to us in its original and unused condition (including in its original packaging), along with the wrapping and delivery note (as proof of purchase) within 28 days of delivery, we will exchange it or offer a refund. We are unable to refund any postage costs, just the original price of the goods. Please contact us for full instructions on 01202 857192.

Faulty Goods
If you purchase a product from us which fails within its warranty period or after fitting you believe is faulty please ring 01202 857192 and request a warranty claim form, this form fully completed should be returned to us with the part and we will forward it on to our supplier where the part will be tested to see if the fault was due to a faulty part or if it was due to faulty fitting. If the fault is due to the part we will refund all costs associated with the purchase including your carriage cost to send the part back. Unfortunately if the fault is found to be due to poor fitment the warranty claim will be rejected. If you are not sure about how to fit a part please get an expert to do so, poor fitment can result in a dangerous vehicle.

Colour Reproduction
Reproduction of colour online is as accurate as photographic and electronic processes will allow.

Safe Shopping Guarantee
We have used every effort to ensure that shopping on the Internet with Dorset Auto Spares is safe as purchasing by card can be. Our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information sent over the Internet. In processing your order, your information may have to be sent over the Internet more than once. At no point is your order information sent in this way without encryption.
